Daft Punk is officially joining the Lego lineup. An upcoming set will pay tribute to the pyramid stage from the duo's 2007 Alive tour, and it grows out of a fan-built model that won Lego's Music to Our Ears contest in 2020.

The news was teased first on the duo's "WDPK 83.7" YouTube stream, which showed a red holographic speaker styled as a Lego brick. A short video released with the full announcement follows the duo's minifigures as they trail the same laser brick into a dark landscape. There, their console appears on cue. The minifigures begin bobbing their heads, set to "Voyager" and "Human After All."

The original design was a lockdown project from the COVID era, created by a father and son from Luxembourg. Their glowing pyramid stage uses roughly 2,000 pieces. Inside sits a motorized, rotating box made of transparent bricks, built to recreate the look and feel of the spectacle from the tour's stage.

Lego's designers are now developing the final version together with fan creator Patrick Harboun, who goes by RobotRock.

The company suggests this is only a first step. Julia Goldin, Lego's marketing chief, described the announcement as "just the beginning of a bigger journey" and "a creative collab made for fans ready to lose themselves to play."

It is not the first time the French duo has appeared in minifigure form. They made a cameo performing "Get Lucky" in Piece By Piece, the 2024 Lego-animated film about Pharrell Williams.

Lego has not shared specifics about the set, including its price or release date. The company did say that more news will arrive in 2027.
